Drone System Designer on a team of 4

Our team built a drone to detect eutrophication. I designed the drone system.

We presented our work at UKC 2025. We won 1st place in the youth presentation.

60-inch telescope, Mt. Wilson Observatory

My Orange Team and I used speckle interferometry on the 60-inch telescope. We measured the binary star COU 537 (WDS 22077+2622). I am the first author.

Separation: 0.259″ ± 0.004″
Position angle: 8.70° ± 0.14°
Epoch: 2025.748

Our paper is under review at JDSO (Journal of Double Star Observations).

I continued my binary star work in Maui. I am a co-author on a paper that reports 6 likely binary stars. The Gaia satellite missed all of them.

Our paper is under review at JDSO (Journal of Double Star Observations).

Comet Internship

With Dr. JD Armstrong, University of Hawaiʻi Institute for Astronomy

I search ATLAS data for signs of comet activity.

I am credited as a co-observer on comet P/2026 R1 (PANSTARRS). I tracked it under the name P12pb3b (MPEC 2026-S39). I am also credited as a co-observer on comet C/2026 Q1 (ATLAS).
